I love the idea of a reading queue—a lineup of books to choose from when I’m searching for my next good read. I took an idea from The Lazy Genius and created my summer reading queue. It worked pretty well. I didn’t completely stick to it, but I didn’t spend more money on more books that I don’t have time to read.
I have way too many books that I haven’t read, so creating a list from the books I already own helps to keep me from looking elsewhere. This summer I did check out books from the library and buy a couple books from Barnes and Noble (with a gift card!).
What I Read this Summer
This summer I shared my summer reading queue, and below are the books I actually read. Follow me on Goodreads to keep up.
Those last two are children’s books. I can’t tell you how many picture books I read to my four-year-old this summer, but those two are my favorites.
