This post was updated April 22, 2021 with new links and new gift ideas! Mother’s Day 2021 in the US is May 9! There are no affiliate links in this post. I only recommend what I love or what is on my own personal wish list.
Mother’s Day is coming up, May 10, 2020. If you feel like me, your mind is overloaded with so many things right now: completing school work at home, earning Boy and Girl Scout badges, deciding what’s for dinner (again), figuring out what to do today, and avoiding the Coronavirus. So, don’t feel bad if Mother’s Day has snuck up on you.
I’ve got some gift ideas. I specifically had the introverted mom in mind, but any mom will love these. This list can help you shop for your mom, your wife, a friend, or even for yourself—feel free to share this blog post with anyone!
1. Therapy Dough. Most introverts like to keep their feelings inside, so this therapy dough helps your introverted mom/wife/friend work out her feelings. Most contain essential oils, so the mom in your life is using multiple senses for stress relief! Uncommon Goods offers lavender, orange, and peppermint.
2. Buff City Soap. If you know a mom that loves to smell good, Buff City Soap is the place to shop! You’ll find detergent, moisturizers, bath bombs, shower fizzies, and of course soap. This is one of my go to places for gifts, and it’s easy to ship to others. The shower oil is my favorite thing! Their homepage lists their bestsellers to give you a place to start your browsing.
3. Cozy Eye Mask. A visual cue to everyone that mom is taking a break.
4. She Reads Truth Subscription Box. Or any of their books! In this post, I lay out why I love SRT. The books are a little pricey, but paying for the subscription allows you to receive the books at an amazing discount. For example, the subscription is $20 per month—each book itself is usually more than $20 (the newest study that starts this summer is $26). AND most months you will receive more than one book! If the “she” you are shopping for loves studying the word of God, this will be an excellent gift even if it’s just one book and not the whole subscription.
5. A Beautiful Mug with an Inspiring Message. Us introverts love our hot drinks, whether it’s tea or coffee. A lovely mug makes the drink even more enjoyable. Dayspring has an amazing collection of mugs, travel mugs, water bottles, etc. This is a delicious tea to pair with it.
6. Daily Grace pillow covers. Introverts love being home in their cozy space. Make her seating area more comfy. These pillow covers are all beautiful, directing our thoughts upward instead of to current events.
7. A Vera Bradley blanket. Every introvert needs a cozy blanket in her favorite spot where she can read a favorite book. I love my Vera blanket and I could use five more. They even have Disney and Harry Potter themed, if that’s her thing!
8. Beholding and Becoming, The Art of Everyday Worship by Ruth Chou Simons. This is the most beautiful book I’ve ever laid eyes on! Ruth’s own watercolor paintings paired with her inspiring words makes for a perfect gift-giving book. This is a book she’ll want to go through slowly to admire the art in all its forms. And don’t forget the companion journal that goes with the book.

9. All Along You were Blooming, Thoughts for Boundless Living by Morgan Harper Nichols. If the mom you are shopping for loves poetry and modern art, she’ll love this book. Morgan’s words are a breath of fresh air and her art is soothing. Check out her Instagram to get a taste of what she offers.
10. A Photobook. All moms love memories. Or maybe you’re shopping for your own mom, and she needs pictures of her grandkids right now since she can’t see them in person. Mixbook has the best styles and makes my favorite books. One idea: For my husband’s 35th birthday we (the kids and I) made a book called 35 Reasons We Love You.
11. AirPods. Every mom needs headphones/ear buds (or maybe a case if she already owns some). The end.
Bonus: A Beautiful Prayer Journal. The prayer journals from Val Marie Paper are just what her prayer life needs. The Kids Legacy Prayer Journal is a hardcover journal with space to write prayers for your children. The six month Signature Prayer Journal is another journal with lined pages for writing out prayers. These books make great gifts for anyone wanting to grow in her prayer life!
